Whether you are looking for inland rivers and canals or open water boating, you can rest assured there are plenty of places for you to set off on your next adventure. If you enjoy kayaking and canoeing you should really check out the beautiful Caloosahatchee Creek Preserve. The preserve provides the opportunity to drift and paddle down the gorgeous Pop Ash Creek. Off shore boating allows the opportunity to catch a few fish for dinner, all while taking in various gulf coast sites. Located near many water sources, North Fort Myers is home to many boating charters, offering many services. Diving, water skiing, sun-cruising and sailing are some of the most popular activities among the boating community. Miles of sandy subtropical beaches makes for great boating year round.

Community

Along with boats, Ingman Marines focus is on it’s surrounding communities. We support and sponsor many teams and organizations in Southwest Florida. The Shell Factory & Nature Park is a large community attraction. Offering many shops, eateries, along with numerous indoor and outdoor activity opportunities. Other nature preserves and parks create a family friendly atmosphere, allowing for canoeing and kayaking trips, among other adventure opportunities. If you’re looking for a little famous history here, Fort Myers is home to the winter houses for Thomas Edison (“AKA – Seminole Lodge”) and Henry Ford (“AKA” The Mangoes”).

Fishing

Fort Myers offers 7 miles of beaches, bays, miles of mangroves and flat lands. There is plenty of snook and redfish to be caught year round. If you are interested in tarpon fishing, Fort Myers offers one of the largest, spring time, tarpon migration patterns. The pier on the beach is the best place to catch larger fish if you either want a spontaneous little fishing trip or to fish for large fish without a fishing license. Some known fish to be caught from the pier are flounder, trout and redfish, among various others. If you own a boat, deep sea fishing in Fort Myers is amazing. If you decide to venture out to sea, some fish you can expect to catch are grouper, red snapper, king mackerel and even sharks. Weather you travel from afar during the holidays or live year round in Fort Myers, you can expect a great fishing experience at any time.
