Fishing

Fort Myers offers 7 miles of beaches, bays, miles of mangroves and flat lands. There is plenty of snook and redfish to be caught year round. If you are interested in tarpon fishing, Fort Myers offers one of the largest, spring time, tarpon migration patterns. The pier on the beach is the best place to catch larger fish if you either want a spontaneous little fishing trip or to fish for large fish without a fishing license. Some known fish to be caught from the pier are flounder, trout and redfish, among various others. If you own a boat, deep sea fishing in Fort Myers is amazing. If you decide to venture out to sea, some fish you can expect to catch are grouper, red snapper, king mackerel and even sharks.
