There are many channels to choose from surrounding Placida, Florida. There are two popular choices to get your boat into the water: Eldred’s Marina and Gasparilla Marina. If you have not yet bought a boat from Ingman Marine, or if you do not already own one yourself, Gasparilla Marina offers various boat rentals. Their other amenities include a fuel dock, bait shop, Ships Store and the Waterside Grill. Coral Creek is a great place to hang out if you enjoy water sports such as water skiing, wake boarding, jet skiing, and tubing. If you would rather just relax and cruise, Placida provides miles of beautiful shorelines worth checking out.

Placida, Florida is located around 80 miles south of Tampa and offers numerous outdoor activities including golf, swimming, boating, fishing and kayaking. There are plentiful beach areas that are family friendly. There are also boat tours and water sports businesses where you can rent kayaks, canoes and paddleboards or if you wish to book a fishing charter that is also available. Wildflower Preserve is also a great place to experience the exhibits from organizations like the Sierra Club, Audobon and the Mote Aquarium. Placida’s Fishing Village is a great place to look for American made items that you can’t find in the stores. With upwards of 100 artists exhibiting at one time. This is the place to look for the unusual, unique and one-of-a-kind items. For the golfers out there, this area has been tabbed the 3rd best place in America to play by Golf Digest. More than 20 courses offer levels of play from executive to championship and are useable year round.
