Boating
Port Charlotte provides endless opportunities and places to go boating, whether you enjoy water skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, or just cruising down the 830 miles of beautiful coastline. The Myakka and Peace Rivers cater to any adventures and scenes you may want to partake in, leading all the way out to the Gulf of Mexico. You can even take the Myakka River from Charlotte County all the way up to Venice if you would like to take a long weekend trip. Looking for a place to get your boat into the water? The Port Charlotte Beach Park has a nice public access boat ramp.
Community
Here at Ingman Marine we are proud to support a variety of local activity clubs and community service efforts. Among our charity efforts are the Port Charlotte Bandits Football and Cheerleading programs. We also sponsor Charlotte Premier, which is a developmental group that allows children from all ages and abilities to play the sport they love, soccer, at the right level to fit each player. Additionally, Ingman Marine has recently been selected to aid Habitat for Humanity in the development of 13 new homes in the area.
Fishing
Charlotte Harbor is the second largest open water estuary in Florida. The Gulf Islands and Charlotte Harbor are known as some of the finest sport fishing havens in the world. This Port Charlotte inlet was formed through the mixing of saltwater from the Gulf of Mexico with freshwater from Florida’s’ Peace and Myakka rivers. The Harbor provides a tremendous breeding area for various fish such as tarpon, redfish, snook, grouper, cobia, barracuda and trout. Dedicated fisherman flock from all over the globe to Port Charlotte to have a chance at some deep-sea, back-bay and flats fishing. Some are looking for a great time while others are looking to achieve their own best personal records, catching large red snapper, tuna, shark, king mackerel, grouper, and tarpon.
