Pathfinder boats are made by Maverick Boat Group, based in Fort Pierce, Florida. The Pathfinder bay boat was created by Maverick Boat Group founder Scott Deal and launched in 1998, quickly becoming one of the most popular bay boats in the country. Maverick Boat Group builds Pathfinder alongside its Maverick, Hewes, and Cobia brands, and the company has been owned by Malibu Boats, a publicly traded company, since 2021. Pathfinder is the group's bay boat line, built to mix serious fishing with family-friendly comfort.
