Stingray boats handle light to moderate chop well, but they are designed mainly for lakes, rivers, and protected coastal waters rather than rough offshore seas. Stingray's deeper-V sport boats and center consoles cut through chop more smoothly thanks to the patented Z-Plane hull, while the flatter deck boats are happiest in calmer water. For nearshore and inshore use in reasonable conditions, a Stingray rides comfortably. If you plan to run far offshore in big seas, a dedicated deep-V offshore boat would be a better fit.
