Stingray boats are made by Stingray Boats, an independent American boat builder based in Hartsville, South Carolina. The company was founded in 1979 by Al Fink and has grown to offer around 20 models, including bowriders, deck boats, sport boats, and center consoles. Stingray builds all of its boats at its own facility in Hartsville and is known for its patented Z-Plane hull. Unlike many brands owned by large boat conglomerates, Stingray has remained independent, which the company sees as part of its family-oriented identity.
